Robert T. Boyer, Ph.D.
Bob is a Real Estate Investor who retired from his job at age 42. He then joined
San Diego’s Finest Real Estate as an investment analyst to show other people how to
create passive income to become retired too. Each month, Bob moderates the “Cash Flow” game,
created by Robert Kiyosaki – author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, for our investors.
Bob started in the computer software industry, working for nearly 20 years as a
defense contractor for General Dynamics, International-Research Institute, and Northrop Grumman.
During this time, he performed software analysis on the digital flight control systems for the
F-16 and JAS-39 hardware/software integration analysis on the flight software for the Atlas and
Titan Centaur Rockets. Next, he worked on command and control systems, primarily in communications
to collaboratively share allied information to form a cohesive situational awareness picture. Looking
for new challenges, Bob took on a Ph.D. in Computer Science in 1999 while working full time.
His research areas were Software Engineering and our evolving Internet.
His dissertation was titled:
Open Implementation Approach to Internet-Scale Context Awareness.
He graduated in 2005 and immediately retired.
Bob has been an active investor since 1987. His background lends itself to the research and analysis
aspects of investing – the number crunching side. In the past year he has been moving investment money
out of San Diego and into higher yielding markets. He currently has investments in 4 states.
The best way to truly internalize information, to know it – to “own” it, is to live it. Bob shares his
experiences and investment strategies with our investors. Bob has invested in single family, multi-family,
and commercial real estate. He has personal experience with 1031 exchanges, assignments, and pre-construction.
He has also been able to roll retirement $ out of the stock market and into real estate through the use of
self-directed IRAs. While cash flow is the critical requirement for retirement, leverage and appreciation are
the keys to dramatically increasing you wealth.
